we are scattered like ink, like stars - this makes me want to drip words & fling them to the sky... yet so calming :)

you know
you easily translate image into word
and show how your inspiration is in writing
(in various ways)
i like see :-)

thank you, anna! means a lot to hear that from you...
i wish it were easier to talk in images - pictures flowing from our mouths - but seeing as we've created this thing called language, might as well learn to use it to the fullest :D

i had a conversation in images with a friend
was amazing
images are very broadband
even when we draw them clumsily
maybe even more so then...
immediate expression...

dreamy words are too
poetic language
...
arise from soul heart

we encircle with vague
...
your words are very telling to me  :flame:

a great idea that i will tuck away for future use!
yes, yes, yes - more pulling from
the inward spiral
with our images & our dreamy words &
our true expressions
it's the combination of these that creates
a new language
something that moves toward the heart of things

recently, i wrote a paper on poet lucille clifton - she spins her words
in ways that never cease to amaze me
she understands this language, as many artists do in one way or another.
anyhow our conversations remind me of a poem she wrote... from the perspective of her husband as he moves from life to death

the death of fred clifton
11/10/84
age 49

i seemed to be drawn
to the center of myself
leaving the edges of me
in the hands of my wife
and i saw with the most amazing
clarity
so that i had not eyes but
sight,
and, rising and turning,
through my skin,
there was all around not the
shapes of things
but oh, at last, the things
themselves.

lucille clifton

 especially the last four lines... that grasp of intangibility...

lieber peter
