GTC tile sketchbook

This is one of dozens of hand-bound notebooks, in which the GTC used to collect ideas for tiles, sketches, proposals etc. They are not cataloged so far, and I pick them up randomly from the piles around me, always hoping to find some details for my research on his collection.

In the lower right corner the GTC noted, how he had planned to give his favorite niece an Advent calendar made of small glass bowls. Each of these bowls stands for one of the 24 December days leading to Xmas. After activating the start button in the upper left corner of the tablet, today's bowl starts glowing. By rubbing it gently you can disclose a pattern which was somehow inlaid from the beginning but invisible up to that moment.

The GTC continues, how he tried his gift and finally kept it for himself -- with the excuse, that it needed further testing. He concludes, that yes, this sounds little convincing; he would have to make up for it... and in a rare moment of moral doubt questions his own character.
